A Semi-Dedicated Server (SDS) is a high-end VPS (Virtual Private Server) with the hardware node capped at around 80% to maintain higher performance and allow a greater CPU share. We use enterprise class servers with dual core, dual processors, RAID 10, and the Virtuozzo virtualization technology.

Each customer's virtual server will have a guaranteed amount of memory, bandwidth and disk space and will be fully isolated from the other users on the same machine. These high-end servers could normally handle 30+ low-end VPS accounts, but we limit each one to only 4-8 accounts.

These semi-dedicated servers are perfect for customers needing a higher-end VPS, or customers considering a low-end dedicated server, or customers who need a higher-end dedicated server but can't afford it. They are also perfect for customers who do not need to modify the linux kernal and can do what they need on a VPS but just need more resources. And customers looking to go "green" can feel at ease with SDS since a semi-dedicated server (as with a virtual private server or VPS) causes less impact to the environment by taking what would be 4-8 different servers each with it's own power consumption, heat output, etc. and rolling it all into a single machine.

The SDS packages offer 50-65GB of disk space, 768MB-1GB RAM, 500-1250GB Bandwidth, and 2 IP addresses. We can host your account out of Texas or California. The prices range from $109.99-134.99 depending on resources needed.
