We started experiencing some corruption issues in our DNS zones yesterday which spread through the cluster and began affecting our customers name resolution. Of the 4 DNS servers used by our customers (ns1.ssahost.com, ns2.ssahost.com, ns3.ssahost.com, and ns4.ssahost.com) each server was individually taken offline and cleaned. Once they were all cleaned and the DNS zones repaired they were brought back online and resynced.
There were periods overnight that some customers domains may not have been available if the visiting user's ISP did not have cached records of the domain. This downtime was brief and as of now, all nameservers are online and responding.
We apologize for any inconvienience and are still working on the problem to determine the root cause and prevent it from occuring again in the future.
